By installing, accessing, or using the PageSignal Chrome extension or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
PageSignal is a browser extension that monitors user-selected web pages for content changes and delivers desktop notifications when updates are detected. The Service operates within the user's browser and stores data locally.
License and Subscription
- •A valid license key is required to use PageSignal. License keys are issued upon purchase of a subscription plan.
- •License keys are for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared, resold, or transferred to third parties.
- •We reserve the right to revoke license keys that violate these Terms or are used in a fraudulent manner.
- •Subscription fees are billed monthly. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- ✕Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- ✕Monitor pages in a manner that violates the target website's terms of service or robots.txt directives
- ✕Attempt to overload, disrupt, or interfere with any website or server through excessive monitoring
- ✕Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- ✕Use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, or abusive purpose
Disclaimer of Warranties
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.
- ⚠We do not guarantee that the Service will detect all page changes, deliver all notifications, or operate without interruption or error.
- ⚠We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of change detection results.
- ⚠The Service depends on browser functionality and network conditions beyond our control.
- ⚠Websites may block, restrict, or alter access at any time, which may affect the Service's ability to function.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PAGESIGNAL, ITS DEVELOPER, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for:
- •Any missed notifications or undetected page changes
- •Any decisions made or actions taken based on change detection results
- •Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- •Any loss or damage caused by reliance on the Service for time-sensitive or critical monitoring
- •Any issues arising from third-party websites, services, or browser updates
- •Any financial losses, lost opportunities, or consequential damages of any kind
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PageSignal and its developer from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Changes and Termination
- •We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice.
- •We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
- •We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
